Early Morning Feed Time

When i walk out into the crisp morning air, i can feel the sun on my face rising from the east. The stairs wiggle and wobble as I make my way to the barn. Rusty gates screech as I open and close them to get to the feed shed. As I swing the door open, the sweet smell of rejuvenating molasses flutters to my nostrils and feels me with warmth. The open barrels full of the "Gilbert Mix" shines with the golden corn and the cotton fluffed bull feed. As I scoop the feed into the feed buckets, dust begins flying into the air sending me into a coughing fit. I step out of the feed house and the sheep follow me like a Calvary following a general. While the sheep are occupied with scarfing down the grain, trying to be sneaky like, I rush to the lambing barn to check on the fuzzy little guys. The taste of hair, straw, and milk skims into my mouth as the lambs suck their mamas dry. I completely finish feeding and head back into the house to await the next early morning feed.

George and Lennie, Sis and I

     Even though John Steinbeck's thought of good literature is not exactly what I think it is, "Of Mice and Men" really made me feel like I was connected with the characters.
     Steinbeck's thought of what good literature is, takes me and makes me feel what the characters do. He says in his speech that the human mind and the human spirit are the things that make us feel with the characters. He says in order to understand the personality of the character, we have to make a connection with them. In "Of Mice and Men" there are mainly two characters that I really connect with, and they are George and Lennie.
     George says "Lennie ain't got anybody else to take care of him, but me." Now I feel a huge connection with George right there. If you have a younger sibling, like me, they tend to act as if they don't know about right and wrong. My sister and My's relationship reminds me of George and Lennie's, she will do something wrong and I have to clean up after her. I definitely connect with George when ever Lennie gets in trouble, because my sister does the same thing to me.
     My sister's actions really got to me when I read this book. All the trouble she's gotten me into and all the things that she clearly does to get on my nerves, makes me wonder if she really is like Lennie. Lennie truly relates to her and I, as in the closeness we have with each other. "I got you George and you got me." is what Lennie says in book and it seriously went down into my heart and sat there, because my sister would have said the same thing.
     So, even though John Steinbeck's thought of good literature is not exactly what I think it is, "Of Mice and Men" really made me feel like I was connected with the characters. With George and Lennie it made me think my sister and I have that bond that they have throughout the book. John Steinbeck knew how to make us relate to the characters and that is what good literature is.

Supposed to bring Peace

Allah is the Muslim god and if Al Quida pleased him by slaughtering thousands of people then they should be in eternal paradise. On September 11th, 2001 the United States was attacked by Al Quida. They follow the Koran as their Bible and in the Koran, Allah is supposed to want peace and protect all, but when they flew planes into the twin towers they contridicted what he said. The United States people or infedels were scared and angry. Osama Bin Laden had ordered an attack on us because, apparantly Allah told him to. He knew he wouldn't just upset the U.S, but the whole world was in up roar. They start a war and kill thousands of people, thats supposed to be peace.

I cry for all the abused children in the world

I understand that the football team gets more attention
I say let our agriculture department grow
I dream about sweet tea
I try to play ninja
I hope the agronomy team wins the state competition
